Back to the Future

Over 2000 years ago, the ancient Nazca people carved the great geoglyphs of Peru, known as the Nazca Lines, in the soil of the Nazca desert, which can only be seen from the air. These are representations of various animals, plants, humanoids, and geometric shapes.

My artwork is inspired by these amazing carvings. Whereas the original Nazca Lines are depicted statically on the ground, I give them life in my composition. Birds now fly over mountains, fish swim in the ocean, monkeys climb and lizards crawl up the walls. Some work have been illuminated from within for effect.
